Daily ChioBu: Jolin Tsai

Jolin Tsai 蔡依林 was signed by Universal Music Taiwan at age 18, after she won first place in an MTV singing competition. Her albums enjoyed moderate success around Asia. But her big break came, courtesy of a song written for her by Jay Chou, when Sony Music signed her in 2003. Her biggest album Dancing Diva was released in 2006, and firmly set her as Taiwan’s pop princess.
