So Nyeo Shi Dae (SNSD, 소녀시대, 少女時代), also known as Girls’ Generation, is currently Korea’s most popular girl group. Its nine members are Yoon-A (17) Tiffany, Yuri (18), Hyo Yeon (18), Soo Young (17), Seo Hyun (16), Tae Yeon (18, the leader), Jessica (18), and Sunny (18). The multi-lingual group speaks English (Jessica and Tiffany were raised in the US), Chinese (Hyo Yeon) and Japanese (Soo Young started out in the J-pop girl group Route-O in 2004). Their debut album was released in November 2007.
