Hur hur, title is very funny
June 27th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Yeah that title about sums it up
“His (overworked and why must we force him to work at such advanced age) Excellency Minister for Life (paper) Field Marshal He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (gasp lord Voldemort), VC, DSO, MC (king of Scripted verbal diarrhoea), MM, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in SE Asia in General and Singapore in Particular”

Who knows, he may truly be the last king of Singapore. Or at least that’s what we all pray and hope for.

The Shattered Dreams of the Blogger 15. This was what I feared most. A delayed action fuse. They were waiting all along for us to come out with the details. Then they will start to pick us off one point at a time. If this goes on for longer. It will be habis time. It will not even see the light of day!
I told the rest we should have co-opted that trouble maker Darkness. But how could I possibly forsee one man could cause so much grief? I was even told none of his people supported him on this. They just wanted to remain neutral. I even received a tacit agreement on this.
Now he is pimping out the likes of Montburan, Primagirl and in no time, the rest of the legal heavy weights like Catherine the Great, Powergirl will join in the fray turning it into a blood spectacle.
Let me tell you one thing, you’re a cheap pimp Darkness! A real man doesn’t ever need to hide behind a skirt of a woman. He comes out and settles the score himself like a real man. Why don’t you come out and fight like a real man? Come on out and I will gladly show you what I think your pretty boy face is good for!
As for the ladies of the now defunct read club. Let me just start by saying I have the highest respect and admiration for all of you. I want no beef with any of you. I simply cannot understand why any of you should even consider sticking your neck out for that legendary two time loser.
We all know he’s a dud. He’s good only for one thing writing those toe curling love stories and whirling no end into your hearts and minds. I call that manipulation. What do you all call that? Friendship Ah! What I cannot understand is why some of you intelligent girls can’t seem to get one thing straight in your brain. He is a good for nothing. He has always been a good for nothing. All of you will do us and yourself good to stop fleshing further his half baked plans to derail the formation of the IC3. He and the rest of his loser gang don’t have enough lawyers of the calibre to swing this. He knows it. He is just using all of you.
That’s what really useless men like him have learnt to do all his life so very well, what did you really expect from a half man who spends most of his time hiding in darkness?
Don’t help him further please take my advise. If we ignore him. He will go away. These gypsies don’t deserve your loyalty. They will just let you down all the time.

Sorry to break in FILB, Dotty and other ex BP read club readers,
But what is the point of writing this?
Most of them have already packed up and gone.
There is no one reading this, not even ex BP readers, they have all gone.
June 30th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
Hello,
Are you listening to me FILB?
If you write something and someone reads it, then its worth archiving. That is real history.
But if no one is even around to read it, then you are just writing letters to yourself.
Tell Dotty and her gang to just sit back and relax.
As for you FILB don’t try to copy cat the BP, cannot be done.
I thought you told Darkness and the others you just want to record information, so what is this?
June 30th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Hi
Just want to say I think the recent “just stuff” write up is awesome.
I happen to be a supporter of the deregulate the net initiative but its always good to have as many viewpoints as possible. Even if they are opposites. I believe it all adds value to the level of understanding.
I would just like to say. I am very disappointed in Darkness and the others to have pulled out of the SG the blogosphere. I believe if he was really genuine in changing our internet for the better. He would have worked along side the others who initiated this whole idea.
Theres no doubt in my mind, he and the others in the BP would have proved valuable as either stake holders or advisors.
As it is. This leaves us with nothing except a position that is worst off than before.
I would like to encourage Miss Dotty and the rest of the ex-members of the BP read clubs. I dont know much about how these read clubs are organized or even how they might fit into the whole BP network of researching, writing and reading, but based from what little I have seen in “Just Stuff” today.
I know all of you are tremendously gifted and I hope you will all blog on and help make our net a vibrant and happening place.
I was just thinking aloud. Pls dont flame me. But has Dotty and the others considered writing in to the ST forum online?
I believe given the quality and depth of her analysis, it will be published with minimal changes. Just a though.
Keep well

We all know everyone in the read clubs are all a bunch of prostitutes.
Who cares about the likes of Dotty, Montburan and all those hags? They are just a bunch of atas people, but they do not know what it takes to even create a better place for us in the internet. Who is more trustworthy? I know Gerald Giam. I know he is a Singapore Patriot who only writes the truth and only the truth. I know Dr Cherian George. I know he is a highly regarded academic who is often quoted in the MSM, if he is so lau yah, why do some many journalist seek out his opinion. I know Bernard Leong, I know he is a millionaire who is highly regarded by even Microsoft as an advisor and again many people listen to him. I even know some of the writers in TOC. And this people have never ever censored anything before, not even once. This whole thing about Jasper is fabricated by the Brotherhood. We all know TOC is like Malaysiakini so they will always kena arrow. If they say deregulation is good, who are you to even dare question it?
Now you know why they never want to talk to you. As I said you are just a bunch of cheap prostitutes and as for Darkness is he just a king pimp. The way I see it anything from the brotherhood just deserves to be put into the spam folder and shreded. It is unpatriotic to even read them!
As for the FILB and this new initiative to get the rest of the read club members to write, let me just warn you. Now that the brotherhood people are not around. Who is going to protect you all from us?
Bfr you decide to write and post maybe you can all sit down and think about that?
All of you better just learn to get used to what will have to come.
July 2nd, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Dear Valued Readers,
I know some of you have been asking where is the strategic analysis of the recent political events in Malaysia.
I would like to say the brotherhood press has ceased ALL publications - they no longer exist.
I would like to say that they have in the past written a prodigious amount concerning Malaysia.
And this is one such article that seems to shed light on why events in Malaysia are turning out the way they are.
http://dotseng.wordpress.com/2008/07/02/what-is-really-wrong-with-malaysia-%e2%80%93-the-anatomy-of-failure-the-rise-of-anwar-ibrahim-part-1/
Meanwhile please ignore these malicious mails. They are of no consequence.
Me and my team are trying our best to reconstitute many of the materials the BP once posted. It seems what they have shared in the SG blogosphere is only perhaps less than 5% of what they have generated.
My team and I are steadfast at work and may I take this opportunity to inform all read club readers - they should con’t to write.

I wish to share with the read club members of the brotherhood press something very intimate.
I once asked Darkness why people are afraid to engage others who may disagree with them.
He replied: “That is a form of death. You have to understand the psychology of it all.
To engage is to seek experience. And most people prefer to be in the safety of their own bubble.
To engage is to expose oneself to critical acclaim and possibly even criticism.
Few can do this as it requires them to confront the man in the mirror even politicians cannot do this, that is why they will always remain politicians and not statesmen.”
That is why he told me, he considered all politicians to be slightly higher than food court managers.
My friends, I have only spent so far less than 16 days in the home of the brotherhood, Primus Aldentes Prime and only now am I beginning to realize how these people see the world.
Not a single street, building or monument is named after a politician - there are explorers galore, even artist and in certain cases even scientist, but not a single politician.
I think that is a reflection of how they see their perfect world.
Pls con’t to write.
Y2K
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Dear Valued Readers,
I have spent nearly 17 days in Primus Aldentes Prime - the home of the brotherhood.
And I bring you the latest report from the streets.
I have free access to move around here unescorted and to even form my own opinion without fear or favor.
I have not noted the presence of their secret police except for one specific incident which I have recorded in the past. Other that this one occasion, they appear to be quite open.
From what little I have been able to see, the citizens in Primus do not seem to regard the proposal of the 13 bloggers and their friends as a legitimate exercise.
Many here con’t to question the validity and even support the boycott not to write - they all seem to be digging in for the long haul.
I have interviewed many and the response is always the same, “if they (13 bloggers and their friends) say we will have to come under this umbrella of regulation; then why weren’t we even consulted? Why aren’t even a single one of our concerns addressed? Why don’t we have a voice?” - “do I have a right to say, I do not want to come under their jurisdiction? When did I even sign up? Can I sign out of this?”
Many of them cannot understand why they cannot simply be left alone.
The response is clear, they will not even give this committee a chance.
If I can summarize the overall sentiment in Primus, it is one of open defiance. Many here believe firmly the internet should be a free place from both bloggers and govt’s.
The overall mood is very much like the story of this sad movie.
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=yif5p5DvYw4
My fear is it will all end tragically.
My name if Justinian
I am one of the new recruits of the FILB and I am giving you all a live report on the overall mood in Primus.
This is my first report for the FILB.
July 3rd, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Dear valued readers,
In line with the recent news furore concerning Anwar Ibrahim - my team has ressurected an article that was once presented by Darkness in the Great Hall (Parliament of the Brotherhood) that discusses the role of the internet in politics.
http://dotseng.wordpress.com/2008/07/03/lessons-from-the-malaysia-%e2%80%93-a-study-in-keeping-the-net-free-for-our-children/
I hope you all enjoy reading this; it is an EV version so it will run for quite long. My advice is stagger the reading to get the full benefit.
Pls note this is a reportage directly from the great hall proceedings and was previously unreleased.

May I wish you all happy reading and to the members of the read club, pls write on!
July 4th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Y2K, why are you still trying to convince the deader than dead read club members to write on behalf of the deader than dead BP or the Free graveyard pine board?
Can you see it’s the same nonsense again. Do want me to call out Many Teddies and give you another round of hauling over the hot coals? We can take out another 20 or 30 post and I am sure the webmaster here and everyone else will enjoy it. As for you, you are pathetic, the way you go around begging and grovelling the rest. Have you no decency and pride?
As for those prostitutes in the read club let me just say this, no one here is interested to read what all of you may write, not even the people who run the Singapore Daily.
As for Darkness well we all know he is just a two time loser. All over the internet they are rightly treated a dog pooh. My personal opinion is nothing they write is worthy, not that I even bother to read what they write, it should go straight to the pooh chute.
Have you ever asked yourself. Who in his right mind even calls himself Darkness? What kinda of moniker is that? It says alot abt the mental state of the man, it says even more about those who wish to be associated so intimately with such a diseased mind. Some of you fine ladies in the read clubs would do well to re adjust your expectation of him and not mix with such seedy characters as there is always a fall out by association. Always remember you are what you eat, but you are also who you choose to mix around with.
As for all his trashy promises, do junk them as well, as all of them will never come true, this is a triple timming good for nothing loser of losers, so he can be counted to be nice, but once you put your hopes and trust on him, its as good as a burnt case.
Trash deserves to be put only in one place.

July 5th, 2008 at 8:34 am
Dear Mr White,
What kind of a name is Mr White? If someone does choose to go by the name of Darkness, that’s his business.
As for what they write, it adds dimension and depth to the analysis. All alternate views should be considered before coming to a conclusion before we make any decisions. If you fail to consider the views of others then I’m afraid your views are just as trashy as those you deem worthless.
As for bullying tactics like calling the carebear teddies out to spread love and sunshine, save them for yourself.
Y2K, keep up the good work. There are readers still. Just because they are gone from this myopic part of the internet does not mean that they are dead.
Omnia Mutantur, Nihil Interit
July 5th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
Dear Heroin Guy
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I must confess I like the motto you signed off with ‘Omnia mutantur, nihil interit.’ “Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.” Very apt indeed. With your kind permission Heroin guy, I would very much like to use this as the new motto of the FILB.
We have been struggling to come up with a logo and motto that best reflects our mission and this will go a long way to inspire my small team of 3.
We have spent some 20 odd days in Primus, the home of the brotherhood and most of the time I spend in the grounds of my new library.
Before Darkness left us, he expressed reservations concerning how I might deal with certain events which may threaten to transform me forcing me to make choices which even I do not want to make. I guess all these harsh words from mr white, many teddies and the others falls into what he described.
Its hard to stay focused and gainfully productive when one is systematically attacked for no explainable reason.
At first, I did not understand what Darkness meant by this, but he was quite insistent to explain it.
I don’t want to bore you with a lengthy explanation. However, allow me say, my stay in Primus though brief has certainly borne out certain truths about what I have always suspected about People & Power.
Many in Primus remain suspicious of the FILB and though they do not openly express it, a sort of jockeying to be depicted in a favorable historical light has already begun in earnest.
I am beginning to feel the heat.
Only yesterday, I received a two exquisite winged Egyptian sphinxs from one of the guilds who I shan’t mention; the workmanship was nothing I had ever seen bfr in the virtual.
But no sooner had they been presented, I was taken aside and asked whether I could kindly consider making certain alterations to the so called illustrious history of the annals of the “book of ages.” (The Bible of the Brotherhood)
As director-general this put me in a precarious position. To cut a long story short, I promptly returned these gifts with a strong worded note and even lodged a report with the committee of vices.
I fear I may have already started making powerful enemies in Primus.
I think this was what Darkness really meant when he once intimated, “how events will threaten to transform me” and “if in doubt seek the advice of Pro-consul.” He is of course referring to Harphoon my only friend in Primus. Who is a 2nd class pre-science officer attached to the Order of Purple. In Primus no brigade commands as much respect as the Order of Purple, so feared are their ranks even their legions are barred by the constitution from entering the city precincts. I don’t find the Pro-consul intimidating at all. On the contrary, he is a very affable chap who comes across as genuinely sincere and good natured. When he visits, we usually play chess and for the better part I ask him questions which he patiently explains in great detail like a school teacher. I can see why Darkness favors him.
Yesterday evening as I have been doing dutifully for the last two weeks since my arrival in Primus. I made my way to the great hall in liberation square. You could say this could well be mistaken for fun, but there is a serious intent to my evening ritual. The Great Hall is an excellent place to understand everything about the brotherhood.
In the hall way there are murals, paintings and statutes depicting their great struggles, battles and virtually every chapter of their history. The building is cavernous and the seats arranged in a semi circled tiered fashion. Here a man can either be cut into ribbons or he may win accolades. No notes are allowed, its stand up and off one goes. This is where I believe most of their thinkers cut their teeth and hone their skills. Through the centuries the great hall has produced a steady stream of diplomats which are regularly culled to administer their 4003 dominions stretching from the Arrullian plains to the Sardonyx Asteroid belt. It would not be an exaggeration to say this was how Rome would have looked like in its zenith.
It didn’t take me very long to realize even in this hall which is supposed to represent their inner sanctum there are so many camps within the brotherhood, each has their own secret agenda; each wants to enlarge their territories; each equally ferocious to establish a beach head in Primus to increase their influence over the universe.
Beneath the veneer of their civility where it’s customary for the speaker of the house to declare at the beginning of every session “…may your thoughts acquire speed.” It might as well be “let the killing begin.”
I register this place cannot be so different from those coliseums which once staged gladiatorial battles. I say this with a tinge of sadness.
As in these past few days following the mysterious departure of Darkness already a few senator have set into motion a plan to dismantle every remnant of the cult of Darkness. From what little I have been able to register with my own eyes it’s done quietly with very little fanfare every trace of his existence is slowly been washed away.
Only yesterday I noticed a mural which once bore his image along the hallway with other warriors of lore which depicting the Ascension Wars had been substituted by a face of another. They had even taken to color it so that the alterations are hardly noticeable. In liberation square his name has been removed from the honor roll of the obelisk.
I now understand what Darkness meant when he said, “how events will eventually threaten to transform me…..” I also realize when he uttered those words, he may have even envisioned his own passing during those final days.
I can only fathom the depths of his sadness. A man who once started one of the greatest social experiments in the virtual with the hope of attracting the brightest in the belief this was only way of righting all the wrongs of this world, believe it or not based on my preliminary historical findings this was what Darkness envisioned originally, only to realize all he has managed to do is recreate a mirror image of this corrupt and selfish world.
In the final days I can only wonder how these thoughts must have labored in his mind, his failure, his dream which had turned into a nightmare and the sheer futility of his task to right it all.
But I wish to tell him and the others wherever he is what he started we the FILB will continue true to his spirit and vision. He has not failed the torch has merely passed on to a new generation. Providing someone writes and another reads this story will continue.
“long live the brotherhood!”
Y2K

Director-General of the Free Internet Library Board based in Primus Aldentes Prime

Dear Y2K,
feel free to use the phrase. I wasn’t the one to come up with it anyway. All I did was borrow it off someone.
As for the recent events, it saddens me to hear that Darkness has really disappeared. He had wisdom in his words. The articles written by him and the rest of the Brotherhood added new perspectives to current topics that I really enjoyed.
Please do keep up the good work and know that there are many others who appreciate the effort and hard work of you guys in the FILB.
Regards,
Heroinguy

Bullies are cowards at heart. They spew threats to cover up their insecurity.
As for what you are doing and the contributions of the Brotherhood, the wisdom that is shared will remain in the hearts of discerning readers. No matter how much they try to erase the physical, they will never succeed in removing that intangible existence.
The torch you have received from Darkness is very much like the Olympic Torch that has been passed down through generations of sportsmen.
Well done, Y2K and team, for keeping the flame alive.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Dear Valued Readers,
This is reconstituted version of a BP article. The EV which stands for “extended version” and usually runs double the word count, we normally see in the Singapore Daily and Intelligent Singaporean, complete with even grammar and spelling mistakes.
It’s relevant as it discusses the counter point of freeing up the press and this discussion has been thrown into sharp focus by the events these last few days concerning “Today” and the reminder “not to interfere.”

Like fruit juice? But fake one?
July 8th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Hello Y2K.
All of us ex read club members are only too glad to assist you and your team in the Free Internet Library Board. However, just to clarify as I am somewhat confused. Didnt the brotherhood press stop all publication because they wish to register a protest vote on the proposal to deregulated the net by these 13 bloggers and their friends?
So if we help you aren’t we ineffect undoing what Bambi Darkness and the rest are planning?
Another thing do not pay any attention to Many Teddies. or zombie or whatever he wants to call himself today or tomorrow.
His mission remains very clear to all us from day 1. If you notice there is a pattern to all his post. He is deliberately disrupting all commentary so as to establish the case there is a CLEAR AND PRESENT need for our politicians to roll out anti-anonymity legislation. He is in other words creating the demand which would otherwise not have existed in the first place i.e online registration in the singapore internet.
What better way to market the anecdote than by first spreading the disease? His mission is very clear.
So dont pay any attention to him, do not erase his post either as this is a very clear record.
Pls revert to me Y2K on my question. As I said, we dont mind assisting but we want to make sure all our ships are sailing in the same direction. Thx Jan

2008/07/08 at 9:22 PM
For me it is a very simple analysis when we talk about deregulating the net.
Why is every single article by Bernard Leong and gang given an airing, but NOT a single one by the BP?
Who is getting paid in TOC this time?
http://magnezium.blogspot.com/2008/06/internet-deregulation.html
You read you decide lah. Why is it not even Dr Cherian George list them out. I thought he is supposed to be an academic. Aren’t they supposed to represent a collective view or is it only their own POV they are really interested in?
If you ask me the BP were justified to pull out. From what I hear this is only less than 10% more is coming.
2008/07/08 at 9:26 PM
I just want to ask one simple question. Why wasn’t even a single article by the bp aggregated by TOC concerning the deregulation exercise.
Don’t we have a right to know?
Jasper was right they are getting $ from somewhere and someone - I think.
Otherwise why block info from us readers. Why?
2008/07/08 at 9:30 PM
You all notice when TOC talks, they claim to be the Malaysia.Kini of Singapore.
I am asking a very simple question then, Why wasnt the views of the BP registered for the deregulation the net exercise. Not even once.
I WANT YOU ALL TO NOTICE ONE THING. THERE WILL BE NO REPLY, NO SO MUCH AS A ACKNOWLEDGEMENT - YOU HAVE TO ASK WHY?
Bird of prey.
2008/07/08 at 9:36 PM
You see I owe Darkness alot. He protected me. He always stepped in when other ppl wanted to kill me. I will always remember that.
So I am asking why? Will I get an answer?
[conslidated]
July 9th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Lets not stray away from the main discussion and end up confusing everyone. Lest everyone loses sight of what’s really at the core. If Darkness was really sincere about the welfare of our net, he will work with the Dr C.George. Dr B.Leong and others like Tan Tarn How, from the Institute of Policy Studies.
It’s very clear reading what he and others have writtten concerning this subject of deregulation, the others definitely have a professional working knowledge of how to make all this work. Maybe they gained alot of experience in their gaming or maybe it is just due to having to juggle so many things with very little resources, but I am certain they know how to swing it. I have never ever doubted their capacity to contribute. And I have even publicly stated this for all. That I believe no one in the net disputes either. The problem here is the others all seem to listen to this one Darkness blindly without ever bothering to use their brains independently.
Let me tell you his plan. All Darkness is interested to do is show the whole wide world how stupid those who have proposed this whole idea are. I can even prove it. For example in the last two articles which Dotty and some other read club members wrote http://dotseng.wordpress.com/2008/06/29/the-incredible-unlikeness-of-being-of-the-sedition-act-%e2%80%93-a-critique-on-%e2%80%9cderegulating-the-net%e2%80%9d-part-2/
Tell me why wasn’t this highlighted to the group bfr the question and answer session? There is no doubt in my mind this people definitely have the brain power to make this whole idea work. They are simply not interested to help any of us. If those sort of info was forwarded to the grouping. I am sure it would have been factored into the whole plan to make it much better. Instead what we see here is a deliberate plan to trip us all up by strategically releasing information only “after” and not “before.” I have notice the brotherhood never ever give out info that can be gainfully used. It seems they do not seem to want to share information or to even work with others in blogosphere.
