To me (skill settler,base maintainer) loyalty means Staying when they makes things tough for you. I’m staying for our returning Singaporeans(they are my friends/NS buddies) and to take care of my dependents.I hope I can gain some precious insight from the knowledges that they (the explorers) gain from working overseas.And also old people dies,status quo changes.As more detrimental policies comes out the more appealing alternative choices become.(the brutal truth for them. note there is a them and us already.)
Ultimately if people realize that this land that we love/protect from/sacrificed for/lived in/died in is not as gold brick on the road as they made out to be like the 1980 Hong Kong to the da lu zai they will leave this hotel too.
That also why the quality of the imports must have a minimum standard by letting them have a minimum pay which will certainly raise the employer basic expectation (and not make a high demand) of their imports and home grown employees. This in turn will allow common employees to have/request for basic rights which AG Wound,tar man and swee conveniently want to be denied to the common people, those who contributed to their well being and their plump pockets.
In the end if the quality(of life,products,harmony of us the common people) is sacrificed for the (toilet break) incapable (elitist) bunch (who have the best quality (of life,products) through the merits of common folks) with only two respectable person to check on them and the opaque Fund which is not even allowed to be checked (52 man years to check obviously they never heard of database) by one of their own President Ong whom I really respected. Dr Lee is still under observation but some of the things she said makes sense.
