  1. NEW YEAR ANNOUNCEMENT BY BP Says:

NEW YEAR ADDRESS BY DARKNESS OF THE BROTHERHOOD 2009

    My fellow netizens,

Last year was truly historical. It would not be an exaggeration to say in 2008; we ran through fire and brimstones; from the scare of bird flu pandemic earlier in the year right up through the unprecedented economic meltdown that scissored across the business landscape; right up to the tragic terrorist attack that unfolded in India recently.

My fellow netizens, it’s a stark reminder though we as the human race have made much headway to manage ourselves and our planet; we still have a very long way to go before we can truly call ourselves the masters of our destiny – this humbling, but there is a lesson here that we can all learn from, so that we can be stronger and better prepared to face the uncertain future.

My fellow netizens, I will cut to the marrow and spare you all the bullshit and come to the point. The prospects for the future don’t look very bright in the short term; many have lost their jobs; others have had to make heavy sacrifices just to make ends; then there are those who simply find themselves flaying in these trouble times; even those who still have jobs aren’t spared the specter of fear either; they often find themselves increasingly living in a perpetual state of limbo, not truly knowing what the future holds for them. Fearing the great unknown – last night when I wrote this speech; I had hoped to use sweet words to tell you all things will get better – but somewhere between writing this now and saying it out now; it just doesn’t seem right – so I have to be brutally honest.

My fellow netizens, I will not mince my words; this coming year will be tough. My hope is as one of the most pre-eminent and well established small communities in the internet, we can continue to weather many of the shocks that will come our way. To prepare for this; in 2009, I have directed the ASDF to look into deferring our subscription for next year and the year after. This has been made possible to all of us in the true spirit of friendship and support that can only be had by such conclaves such as the brotherhood press, phi beta kappa, the confederation, the legation and many of the sites operated by our channel partners who have allowed us to operate freely for the next 3 years!

Though not everything was sweet in 2008 – let us not forget it was indeed a banner year for the gaming sector where even the slightest of gains can be monumental, and thus this year saw us securing key concessions such a permanent seat in the legation and confederation. For the very first time in gaming history, I have great pride and pleasure of informing all of you; we will finally have a permanent representative to safeguard all your interest in the virtual!

I feel while 2009 will certain see us facing many emerging challenges which we have never seen before with your continued support; we stand a good chance of making mighty gains, as where there is a crisis; there are also plenty of opportunities my friends. Never forget this.

2009 my fellow netizens is not dust to the wind. I realize at such times; these words may even ring out hollow. It will depend on how surefooted we are and how all of you wish to serve and here I need to be clear that we are just nothing talking about the established read club readers but also the new and silent readerships which makes up the entirety of the brotherhood press. In 2009, my hope is all of you will find your grove and confidence to step out of darkness. As I said, all this can only be accomplished in the spirit of unity and togetherness, but it must first begin with you making that momentous decision to say; “I will make it happen!”

My fellow netizens, let us not hope only for peace, prosperity and security in 2009. Let us extend our horizons and even bring the light of hope for all mankind, and for a peaceful coexistence with this planet we call home.

We all have much to contribute to each other and so we must reach out further for 2009. Let us continue to explore the beauty of new relationships and new conversations that will hopefully put an end to hatred, division and misunderstanding. This we can only do if in 2009, we put knowledge on a renewed and strategic footing; for knowledge is indeed power.

For this reason; in 2009, the ASDF will be further expanded at a cost of 20 million Imperiums!

My fellow netizen, this reaffirms our continued commitment, to go where no mind has gone before; to strive, to grow, to explore, to learn and to share in the true spirit of the brotherhood of man.

And so, with these things said, let us move forward and cast aside our heavy heartedness – for there is much hay to be made my friends.

May God bless you all and long live the brotherhood!

    “Hello Singapore Daily,

Let me begin by wishing everyone in the team - happy new year!

It has been a good year. Do keep up the good work. Let me just say, you guys are doing a marvellous job and I am sure, I speak for 99.9% of the people who regularly visit online.

Remember rome was not built in one day. But I dont have to tell g and the b and the rest this. You boys seem to know this well. Perhaps better than even us. Maybe one day we should sit down and exchange notes on how best to move forward to take this site to a new level. I have some ideas.

Always remember you are all providing a valuable service to the community and I Thank you once again from the very bottom of my heart.
