Daily ChioBu: Aya Ueto

Aya Ueto 上戸彩 (born 14 Sep 1985 in Nerima, Tokyo) is a Japanese actress, idol and singer. After leaving the J-pop band Z-1 in 2002, she joined Pony Canyon for a solo career and released 13 singles and 6 albums in the next 5 years. Aya had began her acting in 1999 in the movie “Killer of Paraiso”. Since then she has acted in numerous TV dramas and cinema films, including the title role in 2003′s blockbuster Azumi and the sequel in 2005. In 2008, Aya was crowned CM Queen [cm = commercial] for a second time (first was in 2004), raking in a ¥360m from her advertisement contracts. Aya will star in her first Getsuku drama this spring, alongside SMAP leader Masahiro Nakai and Ryuta Sato.
