Daily ChioBu: Niigaki Risa

Risa Niigaki (新垣里沙 born 20 Oct 1988 in Kanagawa) is a fifth generation member of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume. She was runner-up in the Tomy (the toy company) image girl competition ‘Kiss Girl Audition’ before joining Morning Musume im 2001. In 2002, Niigaki and other members of Morning Musume starred in the drama Angel Hearts. In 2007, Niigaki was chosen to be a member of Morning Musume Tanjō 10nen Kinentai (誕生10年記念隊) to celebrate Morning Musume’s 10th anniversary. In 2009, Niigaki (together with Ai Takahashi) became the longest serving members in Morning Musume history.
