Daily Tech: 2 Dec 2009

Not sure if you heard the news. CrunchPad is over. Dead. No more. I always thought that if CrunchPad die, it would be because of pricing or usability. Never did I expect it to be a disagreement between TechCrunch and Fusion Garage. So far, we only heard Mike Arrington’s story. We are not sure what is Fusion Garage’s CEO, Chandra Rathakrishnan’s story.
It is a very wrong move to kick Mike Arrington out of his project. He is an asset to the team. It just don’t make sense to remove him. And even if Fusion Garage managed to settle the lawsuit that Mike is going to file against them, they will never be able to sell the CrunchPad. Judging from the influence of TechCrunch, you can be sure that people are going to boycott that product.
All I can say is, only Leo Laporte can screw Mike Arrington and still walk away with it. Good luck to the folks at Fusion Garage.

CrunchPad was the greatest tablet i’ve ever used.
And i don’t think it is dead for such a reason.
