Subject: Doss attack on The online citizen
Now many of you have written to me concerning whether the recent doss attack on TOC is real. From what I am able to gather, the last one that transpired on the 9th was real - this recent one is still under investigation.
My answer is yes, TOC did suffer a real doss attack on the 9th, there is a definitive electronic signature this time / along with time zone source code trail that we were able to stream detect. However, let me stress the doss attacks on Wayang party aka Temasek Review (soon to be I suspect the online version of the Strait Times) was all faked they just switched off the lights, there never was an electronic signature, not so much as a ripple. Nothing. So you decide.
So one is a Pamela Anderson, the other is Meryl Streep; why was TOC attacked, simple what better way to lend credence to Temasek Review’s case the really did suffer a massive doss attack; then to attack another similar site, thus reinforcing the lie by promoting the idea that “if it can happen here; it can also happen there..” This is the preferred way in which bent people go about the business of establishing their case, they want you and I to buy into a pattern that will hopefully force us all to take the course of least mental resistance and from there draw a conclusion; it is a stupid strategy this is only serves to reinforce my belief those cyber troopers should all be packed off to the North pole where hopefully they can manage the Singapore meteorological institute, there the only net, they will be managing is a fishing net to catch their dinners; we dealing with motherfuckers who are even prepared to destroy other sites; just to reinforce their decrepit case and lend it credence; in the absence of none. So don’t be hoodwinked; god gave you all a brain; connect the dots and work it through; don’t say this is too cheem, it is not. You can understand it if you really want too.
Are we going to do anything to help? No. We are not going to lift one finger this time. Why because when TR previously claimed some 23 occasions they suffered a massive doss attack; we actually did mobilize all our channel partners to help – now the prevailing mood is; this is your own matter; we are not a community; it is everyman for himself and the general credo is survival of the fittest.
I have warned Temasek Review many a time; DON’T CRY WOLF. Did they listen? Now when the wolf really comes who in their right frame of mind is going to lift a finger? Time is after all so precious; most of us need to work just to make ends meet; in short we have come full circle; so don’t come to me and ask for help any longer; I can give a shit and if there is any liaison officer there that wants to render assistance; please go ahead; only understand this; we don’t want to get involved anymore.
This is Temasek Reviews gift to our local blogoland – apathy. Don’t blame me; if there is anyone to blame it is you; the indifferent reader who did not even bother to use your God given senses and brains to figure things out; you just sat on the fence and watched the world go by; so what did you really expect; some hero to come around and save people and planet?
Those days are over – we no longer care. We did once, but I am not going to stick my neck out for anyone this time. As I said, this is the age of selfishness - It is every man for himself!

DOSS AND CLIMBING
I know some of you think that I am simply selling out – I even know someone of you may even believe, here is the bastard that he really is – but you all need to understand why we cannot help after the stunt Temasek Review pulled on us.
You see it is like climbing; when I first started climbing. I had a great mentor, this guy was top drawer all the way, in work, life and play. But when I first started climbing; I had certain bad habits; for instance; I took too much risk; did things which were if they went wrong could have even imperiled the team. So one day, this chap who I really respected had a heart to heart talk with me and said that this cannot go on, bc if you fall and die, that’s ok. But if you fall and you take another down, then that’s no good – I took the advice, but soon my bad habits creep again; on one climb where I was supposed to use three cams (these are anchor points that you insert into a crack to anchor a rope); I used only one; this man saw this from above and he just let it past.
I reached for the promontory and sure enough, the cam gave; I fell about fell about 30 feet; though the rope was dynamic; when I came to sudden halt; broken 3 rips and fractured by ulna. Had it been static rope; that would be the end of it, right there and there – that’s how unforgiving climbing is.
When they brought me down to base camp; I was livid; I kept on bitching why the fuck didn’t my mentor who was supposed to take care of me; not remind me to insert 3 instead of only 1 cam. At that time; I didn’t know much about climbing; so I didn’t know about 28 different types of lime stones or even how there could be more than 50 over types of granite; each requiring their own approach.
This mentor told me: this is good for you; pain is a teacher; you’re going to feel it and some things cannot be written or said; they need to be felt – from that day onwards; I always climb with three cams; I don’t even care what type of rock it is; four is even better and five is best!
Call it what you want tough love; but to those who have never ever climbed and worked as part of a team; that is just how lessons are learnt to keep one and others safe. I am sure there is a moral to the story and how it relates to this whole doss thing and why we don’t wish to help this time along with other stuff to do with Temasek revew – but lets just say.
Sometimes, it’s good to take a fall. Only because if it doesn’t kill you; it will definitely make you stronger.

To the Brotherhood and all our channel partners.
I know what is exactly in the mind of all of you my brothers. Some of you want to help TOC - I even know Singaporedaddy has approached the Mercantile Guild secretly to beg them to help TOC. He feels for TOC very passionately. I cannot blame him, he is part of their community, so he has allowed his emotion to rule him. So when they are attacked, he takes it personally. But I say, ignore him.

My brothers many of you are climbers; and there is one thing we never ask another, “do you carry a knife?” That question is taboo in climbing as it to ask a lady whether she is a virgin on the first date.
But we all know without even having to elaborate every sensible climber secrets a knife; he has too, as sometimes, we simply need to cut a man off to save the others.
It has often been said art mirrors life and this is clearest here: it may just be a movie, but it mirrors the situation we face sardonically.

I would only like to say this; I may not have agreed with TOC: but I have always respected them despite our many differences, but in this case; I would advise all of you who may be itching to help them to hold back and refrain from volunteering your expertise; as for me, I just whipped up by knife and the rope has been sliced / it took me 2 min to make that decision. I dont feel good about it, but that is life.
Take my advice brothers; do not interfere; let things be. Remember always, its nothing personal, its strictly business.
The brotherhood needs to send out a clear message to all that we are not people to be messed around with; if people think we are walk overs; a time will come when we will all not be able to hold our heads up high. If any of you relent; you compromise not only us, but everything we stand for!
We do nothing. Like the rest of blogoland, we will just watch on - this is sad. As there was a time not so long ago, when I would have helped and righted things, but as I said, we now live in the age of selfishness - it is every man for himself.
