Yui Aragaki 新垣結衣 (born 11 Jun 1988) is a Japanese model, actress, singer, seiyū and occasional radio show host of Ryukyuan ancestry. She is a well-loved Japanese idol. Her beauty particularly her smile, is well-regarded in Japan. It was Yui’s sister who registered Yui in an audition for a junior fashion magazine (nicola) where Yui won the Grand Prix award. In 2004, Aragaki expanded her modeling career into gravure, and started appearing on variety shows and commercials (Glico’s Pocky being the most popular). After a breakthrough performance in the TBS drama Dragon Zakura, she began to pursue a career in acting. To date, she has won 5 Newcomer awards in 2007 and a prestigious Film prize at the 2008 Golden Arrow Awards. Aragaki also made her singing debut in 2007, singing the theme song for the movie Tokyo Serendipity (which she acted in) and the release of her album Sora.

Akina Minami 南明奈 was born on May 15, 1989 in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is frequently seen in commercials, gravure, and TV variety shows. She is also slated to star in an upcoming “Ju-on” film titled “Ju-on: Shiroi Roujo.” When told of the news, the excited Minami commented, “I was too scared after reading the script, so I told my manager I didn’t think I could do it. But since it was the leading role for the ‘Ju-on’ series, I thought that I had to do it by any means necessary.” Minami plays a high school girl with a strong sense for the supernatural, whose friend died in a murder case during her elementary school days. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters June 2009.

A graduate from the Central Academy of Drama 中央戏剧学院, Zhang Li was talent spotted after she appeared in several TV commercials. She quickly gained popularity after starring in several TV Dramas, and landed a starring role in the movie 最后一次爱你 Love You One Last Time, which won her rave reviews.

Chrissie Chau 周秀娜 is a model from Hong Kong. Born (22 May 1985) in Guangdong, Chaozhou province, her family moved to Hong Kong when she was 10 years old. During an event in Sha Tin 沙田 in 2008, she was spotted by reporters who thought that she looked a lot like famous HK model Gaile Lai 乐基儿, and nicknamed her the “pirated” Gaile Lai 翻版樂基兒. The nickname stuck and helped propel her popularity in Hong Kong.

Japanese idol Risa Kudo 工藤里紗 (born 4 Oct 1983) is a model and actress. The Kanagawa native sold Coca Cola at Jingu Stadium and worked in a tavern before her debut as a gravure idol in December 2004. Risa’s first printed work was in the Be GIRLS photobook, under her real name Mizukawa Seiko. Risa is most well-known outside Japan for an appearance in an episode of the Nippon TV series Haken no Hinkaku (2007) and the films Love Letter Ao-renka and Rabu Kon (Lovely Complex) in 2006, and Sleeping Flower in 2005.

Reimi Tachibana 橘麗美 /立花麗美 (born 16 Jun 2986) is a swimsuit model and gravure idol in Japan. The Kagoshima Prefecture native began her career after winning second place at the 2008 Japanese School Girl Collection (Japan Seikore). Saki Aibu 相武紗季 (born 20 June 1985) is an actress in Japan. The Takarazuka, Hyōgo prefecture native has starred in many popular J dramas such as Water Boys (2003), Regatta (2006), Absolute Boyfriend (2008) and Buzzer Beat (2009). Tani Momoko (谷桃子) worked as a model for Toyota and a waitress after graduating from High School. She was scouted and quickly gained favor and was elected into the 2007 Nitteligenic class, which included other top idols such as Asami Oda and Aya Kiguchi. Nitteligenic (日テレジェニック, terejenikku, an abbreviation of “Nippon TV” and “telegenic”) is an annual talent contest held by NTV. After graduating from the Nitteligenic group in 2009, Momoko has been working towards her goal of becoming an actress.

Yajima Maimi 矢島舞美 is a member and the leader of °C-ute, a J-pop group within Hello! Project. At age 10, Yajima (born 7 Feb 1992, Saitama) joined Hello! Project in 2002 as one of 15 children chosen from the Hello! Project Kids auditions. In 2005, Yajima and 7 of the original 15 formed °C-ute. Aside from leading °C-ute, Yajima Maimi is also the co-captain of the Hello! Project Kids Futsal team Little Gatas, and is a co-host in °C-ute’s weekly radio program Cutie Party. In 2009, Yajima won a starring role in the movie Fuyu no Kaidan (Winter Ghost Story). In 2010, Yajima Maimi released her 2nd DVD photobook Fix no E, which also has an app for the Android phone.

Joe Chen Qiao-En 陈乔恩 (born 4 April 1979) is a Taiwanese actress,singer and model. She began her career as a model in 2001 and quickly moved into television the following year, hosting the popular travel show China Is So Big 中国那么大. Her popularity caught the attention of Jacky Wu 吴宗宪, who roped her into his entertainment show 综艺旗舰 (with NONO as the third host). In 2004, Qiao-En became a member of the popular all girl pop group 7 Flowers 七朵花. But it was the 2005 TV drama The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog 王子变青蛙 that shot Qiao-En to stardom. Staring opposite Taiwan heartthrob Ming Dao 明道, the show became the 2nd highest-rated TV drama. In 2008, Qiao-En broke TV records again starring opposite another heartthrob Ethan Ruan 阮经天 in Fated to Love You 命中注定我爱你 which became the highest rated Taiwan TV drama to date, cementing her place as the Queen of Taiwan Idol Dramas 偶像剧女王.

Maki Goto 後藤真希 (born 23 Sep 1985 in Edogawa, Tokyo) is a Japanese singer and former actress. Goto began her musical career in 1999 when she joined Morning Musume. Her first single with the group “Love Machine” topped the Oricon single charts and sold over a million copies. Goto also released a solo single “Ai no Bakayarō” in 2001, which also topped the Oricon charts. Goto was the lead vocalist of the group up until her graduation from the group in 2002. Goto left the Hello! Project in 2007 and signed with Avex Group sub-label Rhythm Zone the next year. In 2009, she released her debut album Sweet Black under the SWEET BLACK Project. Goto transferred to Avex Trax in 2010, and will release her second album, One, which marks her official comeback as a singer.

Shiori Kanzaki 神崎詩織 was born in September 22, 1987. She is the Best known for her role of Yuka Sanada in the 2004 TV show The Justirisers. Shiori has also dabbled in a variety of trades in front of the camera. Beyond her film acting work, which includes productions such as Bayside Shakedown 2 (2003), Kanazaki has appeared in a variety of plays, such as an adaptation of Little Women, commercials and a brief stint as a model.
